Karen Norris - Counsellor & Psychotherapist Surrey

Why I Became a Psychotherapist

Over the years I have sought ways to overcome various challenges throughout my life, appreciating first-hand the success and value of good psychotherapy. My inspiration to help others has shaped my career as a counsellor and psychotherapist and I always feel hugely privileged working with my clients.

My Approach

I believe that by exploring our past, we can change how we feel about our present and future. Increasing our self-awareness can help us become more appreciative and accepting of our value, worth and limitations. This can lead to a healthier, more positive view of life – developing a stronger and more balanced mindset.

Because everybody is unique, I believe in working in a way that best suits you. Therefore, I practise an integrative approach in counselling, encompassing Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I will combine the most appropriate and beneficial aspects of each of these to find the best approach for you.

These are some of the problems I can help with:

Depression

Generalised anxiety disorder
